Into Advanced is for teachers, athletes and Pilates practitioners wanting to up-level skills and conditioning to progress their practice into the very athletic, complex movements of the Classical Advanced work.
This is our most advanced class and to ensure readiness, safety and a great experience for everyone involved, this class requires advance instructal approval.
We start promptly so don't be late. Class runs 50 minutes and is limited to 5 students.
To support student safety, a certain physical conditioning level is required for this class...
(1) Students must be free from injury and in great overall physical conditioning
(2) Students must be able to accomplish the following with ease
- full articulation and control of spine, shoulders and hips/pelvis
- connection and control of the powerhouse muscles
- clean (with no momentum) roll up and roll over
- 3 full sets of Teaser maintaining proper form
- 5 narrow push ups
- maintain bridge w stable hips while lowering and lifting one leg
(3) A frequent Pilates practice must be maintained. We highly recommend a minimum three (3) times per week. Some form of daily practice is ideal. While we always love to host you - any and all focused practice outside the studio counts.
(4) This class is designed to be progressive and each week we will be progressing skills, conditioning and concepts.
